So flipping cold!

It's -1 here with a windchill of -28. In NC! The schools closed because half the county lost power and it's too cold for the kids at the bus stop. I had to reschedule C's 1wk appt because it's just too cold to take her out today.

This weather is insane!

It was -12 here when I got up. It really sucks. We left our faucets dripping and put a heater in our basement last night to try to keep our pipes from freezing. So not only will our gas bill be higher since the furnace ran non-stop all night but our water and electric bills will be higher too! I hope it doesn't get this cold again all winter!

It was 3 here when I left for work this morning, with a wind chill of -22. Sooooo not a fun day to have to go into the office!

And the kicker: Tuesdays are one of my work-from-home days!! But noooooo, today of all days I had to come in because our director scheduled a presentation/meeting. Boo!

I don't know what the actual temperature is, but the real feel is -20 with 20mph winds.  SO not fun!

It's 7 degrees with a wind chill of -17, and I'm pissed at DH.  I told him to leave space heaters on overnight, even though it's not the safest, to prevent the upstairs pipes from freezing.  Guess what he didn't do, and guess what happened?

He's now working from home and STILL haven't gotten them out, and I can't do it because they're stored in the attic, and I can't/won't do the ladder while pregnant.  Dude, you had ONE job!!!

My mom's pipes froze last month because she asked her husband to wrap the pipes up and winterize them and he said he would and never did. So she ended up in the freezing cold wrapping pipes and putting heat lamps on them all so my little brother could take a shower. (My little brother is almost 18, I think he should have helped her out but whatever).

Hope you guys can stay warm!

@luckyangel07 sorry you had to go in on your work from home day...that stinks.
